Invitation to 9th edition of

BSC Prague Showdown Cup 2025

Dear Showdown friends,

on behalf of Blind Sport Club Prague and under the auspice of Czech Blind Sports Federation also thanks to our sponsors and partners we are happy to inform you about the 9^th edition of international showdown World ranking tournament called BSC Prague Showdown Cup 2025 which is to be held again at the sports centre in Nymburk.

This tournament has ambition to give you the opportunity to take part and earn another points into the official IBSA Showdown World ranking. Only officially recognized B1 to B3 players are allowed to participate at the tournament. Showdown players who do not have IBSA classification must provide their national classification documents. Current IBSA showdown rules will be applied.

We plan to play on 7 tables of Czech producer. All the showdown tables will be on one place at the sports centre in Nymburk. Swedish balls will be used. Estimated number of male players is around 50 to 60 and female players around 25 to 35 referred to last year number of participants.

Important note:

New format and playing system similar to UEFA Champions League current format of this tournament will be used. More detailed information will be released by 1^st March 2025 according to final number of all the men and women players.

This tournament is to be held at sports centre Nymburk. Accommodation and fullboard will be provided at the same place. This location is situated in Nymburk (80 km from Prague airport, about one hour by minibus).

Tournament schedule:

25^th March 2025 – Technical on-line meeting at 20:00 CET

26the March 2025 – Arrival day, dinner is served only by 20:00 CET

27^th – 29^th March 2025 – Men and women singles

30^th March 2025 – Departure day

Important note:

Wednesday lunches are provided only for LOC team and referees with earlier arrival. The same counts for Sunday lunches given only to LOC drivers and referees with later departure.

Participation fee for accommodation at the sports centre and fullboard is 399 EUR per each person in a twin room. In case you wish to have a single room you will pay 499 EUR participation fee. Transfer fee will not be requested at this tournament. We ask you to pay the full amount for participation fee in deadline set up below.

Fitness, whirlpool, sauna will be on one spot and you can also use outdoor sport facilities - all in one price included in our entry fee policy. Use of the facilities will be possible upon booking prior to the event.

Deadline of all binding entry forms is 31^st January 2025 at the latest. You are supposed to send 399 EUR per person if needed by 15^th February 2025 on the following bank account details:
